Disruption due to volcanic eruption in Iceland

London – Heathrow , April 15, 2010 – There was a large volcanic eruption in Iceland on Wednesday April 14.

Due to the weather conditions, a plume of volcanic ash has now spread southwards towards northern Europe and is severely affecting all airlines' flight activity in the area.

For safety reasons and on the direction of Air Traffic Control Service (NATS) a decision has been made close all London airports, including Heathrow.

This has resulted in our Kingfisher Airlines flights to and from Heathrow being cancelled for 15th of April 2010 .

Guests are advised to check their Flight Status before leaving for the airport.

The safety of our Guests, crew and aircraft is of vital importance and the same will not be compromised.

Waiver on cancellation and reissue penalties:

Due to this circumstance, Kingfisher Airlines will waive all cancellation and reissue penalties on all confirmed tickets issued for travel from London Heathrow for April 15, 2010.

Rebooking will be permitted at no additional charge for a period of 7 days from their original date. Please contact Kingfisher Airlines or your travel agent, whichever issued your ticket, to discuss your options.
