Kingfisher Airlines ready to bring home its first ATR72-500 Aircraft       

Aircraft to be used to develop new routes and link unconnected cities

Toulouse March 30, 2006-Kingfisher Airlines, India`s fastest growing airline and the first Indian carrier to offer Full Service at True Value today took delivery of its first ATR72-500 Aircraft in a ceremony at the ATR facility at Toulouse in France.

Kingfisher Airlines had initially placed an order for 20 ATR72-500 Aircraft, at the Dubai Air Show 2005 in a deal valued at US $350 million. But in keeping with its growth plans, had also placed a fresh order for 15 additional ATR 72-500 Aircraft in a deal valued at US$270 million. The new order was announced by Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman and Managing Director, Kingfisher Airlines, in the presence of French President Jaques Chirac earlier this year in the month of February.

In a ceremony today, Mr. Fillipo Bagnato, CEO, ATR, handed over Kingfisher Airlines` first ATR72-500 Aircraft to Dr. Vijay Mallya. The new ATR 72-500 Aircraft will be utilized to develop new routes and link unconnected cities in India.

"These aircraft will allow us to develop our network and introduce new routes not previously served and we are excited to be bringing the Kingfisher Airlines experience to more cities throughout India. We are pleased to induct this Aircraft into our ever expanding fleet," stated Dr. Vijay Mallya, Chairman and Managing Director, Kingfisher Airlines.

"I am very proud to see that this ATR aircraft under the livery of Kingfisher Airlines, will take part in the development of new commercial routes in India", said Filippo Bagnato. "This delivery is a step forward into the confirmation of the ATR aircraft as the optimal choice according to the characteristics of the Indian domestic flights".

Kingfisher Airlines currently operates a fleet of 11 brand new A 320 family aircraft and connects 15 key business and leisure destinations with more than 70 flights daily across India. Kingfisher Airlines is the first Indian carrier to have placed an order for five Airbus A380s, five A350s and five A330s. The deliveries of A330s are expected to begin in 2007 while the A380s and A350s arrive in 2010 and 2012 respectively.
