Job Details

Purpose of Job:

Installation, Configuration, Administration and Maintenance of Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN) and Communication Network to ensure they are operating optimally at all times with high uptime.

Job Description:

• Implement and Administer LAN / WAN and maintain the SLA for the Network Infrastructure across the company.
• Troubleshoot Network Infrastructure and Security Systems to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
• Investigate Network problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
• Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations.
• Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventive measures.
• Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize network availability.
• Document network problems and resolutions
• Coordinate with network providers and ensure changes are planned and implemented correctly

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualifications:

• Diploma in Engineering / Science / Computers or Equivalent
• Certifications in Networking such as CCNA, CCNP or Equivalent.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 Years in managing, supporting and administering LAN / WAN.
• Airline Experience is an advantage.

Skills / Expertise:

• Troubleshooting, Analysis and Configuration of (TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, 802.1q, NAT/PAT etc.)
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 managed switches (Configuring/ Troubleshooting)
• Excellent knowledge and configuration skills in Networking Equipments, Network operating systems, Implementing LAN, WAN.
• Good Knowledge on Operating Systems – Windows 2003, Windows XP/Vista /  Linux
