Job Description:

 Main Purpose of the Job
• To ensure that all requirements for aircraft materials, spares, consumables and general items are procured from approved sources within specific time lines.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Verify requisitions for completeness and raise orders within the time lines specified to ensure earliest availability of material.
• Ensure that all orders raised are accurate in all aspects, with orders being raised to approved sources only. Obtain necessary approvals before placement of orders.
• Develop the vendor database by identifying new vendors and obtaining necessary approvals to utilize them.
• Resolve queries with suppliers for parts not acceptable to stores due to valid deficiencies immediately
• Review and negotiate terms with vendors before finalizing on a vendor, for all orders.
• Support stores in maintaining the level of Component and Material inventory as defined by the core group so as to accomplish safe, efficient and economical operation of the fleet.
• Identify repair agencies for all material awaiting repair and advise stores to dispatch the same to the concerned repair agency after obtaining necessary approvals.
• File relevant documents as per the guidelines set in the procedure manual.
• Track vendor performance stringently and maintain a record of all issues faced.
• Raise appropriate queries with the concerned department for inaccurate requisitions and follow up until the same is resolved.
