Job Details

Purpose of Job:

Installation, Configuration, Administration and Maintenance of Server Hardware, Server Operating Systems (Windows/ Linux) and various Applications to ensure they are operating optimally at all times with high uptime.

Job Description:

• Manage, Administer, Monitor, Troubleshoot, Install and Support Server Hardware, Server Operating Systems (Windows/ Linux) and various Applications including Microsoft Active Directly, Microsoft Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Citrix, IIS, Apache, FTP.
• Troubleshoot Operating Systems and Applications installed on Windows, Linux servers.
• Perform Problem Management, Configuration Management, OS Updates, Patch, Hot fix, Software Installation/upgrades, License Management on the Server Infrastructure.
• Provide Technical Assistant to Server and Application related issues, Application Monitoring & controlling Servers Health
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
• Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted users.
• Provide assistance to IT Support Engineers.
• Perform Basic networking and its troubleshooting at LAN environment.

Candidate Profile:

Educational Qualifications:

•   Diploma in Engineering / Science / Computers or Equivalent
•   Certifications in Networking such as CCNA, CCNP or Equivalent.

Experience:

• A minimum of 3 Years in designing, managing and System Administration
• Airline Experience is an advantage.

Skills / Expertise:

• Installing/ Maintaining/ Troubleshooting of Windows 2000/ 2003 servers
• Installing/ Maintaining/ Troubleshooting Windows XP and Windows 7
• Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP, DNS, Citrix
• Understanding on IP Address, subnet mask and its application in LAN
• Good knowledge on Storage and Backup Infrastructure
• Good Knowledge on leading Network Management Solutions.
