Media Update Number 7. Issued on April 21, 2010 at 5 pm IST


Consequent upon the opening of UK Airspace, Kingfisher Airlines will commence its flights to and from London Heathrow from Thursday April 22, 2010.

  • IT-007 Mumbai to London Heathrow
  • IT-008 London Heathrow to Mumbai
  • IT-001 New Delhi to London Heathrow
  • IT-002 London Heathrow to New Delhi

The flights will operate as per the normal scheduled time unless otherwise advised by the Air Traffic Control in UK  or other countries in the flight path.

Please do not come to the airport if you don’t have a confirmed reservation for that particular day.

If you were booked to travel to and/or from London over the last few days and were not able to travel due to flights being cancelled on account of volcanic ash, please do not go to the airport UNLESS you have a managed to secure a confirmed reservation for that particular day. To confirm a reservation, guests are requested to contact their nearest Kingfisher Airlines call centre or the travel agent, whoever issued their ticket, to discuss options. For such guests, Kingfisher Airlines has waived all cancellation and reissue penalties on all confirmed tickets issued for travel on above mentioned flights. Re-booking has been permitted at no additional charge for a period of 30 days from the original date of travel.

While the UK Airspace has opened up, due to the huge backlog of cancelled flights and for a variety of other reasons, it is likely that there may be disruptions. Please bear with us as these circumstances are beyond our control and we will do our best to minimize any inconvenience that you may be put to on this account.

We place the safety and comfort of our guests, crew and aircraft above everything else and any decision that we may have to take to cancel, divert or delay your flight or effect any such changes will be done keeping in mind your well being.

Important Notice for Guests Travelling FROM London Heathrow

The British Airports Authority has introduced a restriction at London’s Heathrow Airport whereby all passengers MUST have a valid ticket for travel otherwise they will NOT be permitted to enter the airport terminal buildings for at least the next 72 hours from now.
