The `Kingfisher Swimsuit Special Calendar 2007` was launched amongst much fanfare by none other than Bollywood superstar Preity Zinta.

Shot across the scenic French Riviera, the sea, magnificent beaches, The Indian Empress and fabulous villas provided the perfect backdrop for the ultra glamorous 5th edition of the Kingfisher Swimsuit Special Calendar. With locales ranging from the historic Hotel Negresco in Nice to the legendary Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild in Saint Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the calendar this year is the epitome of luxury.

A platform for Indian fashion, this year`s calendar features renowned designers Abhishek Gupta, Anamika Khanna, Malini Ramani, Namrata Joshipura, Nandita Basu, Pankaj Ahuja, Rina Dhaka, Ranna Gill, Shantanu Goenka, Varun Bahl, hand picked from the FDCI Fashion Week by none other than veteran designer Rohit Bal on special request by Dr. Vijay Mallya. These designs are showcased by six beautiful and sensual models – Deepti Gujral, Shamita Singha, Nikii Daas, Mia Udeya, Bruna Abdalah and Selma Lasrado. Selma also has the unique distinction of being an actual serving flight attendant on Kingfisher Airlines, India`s favorite airline.

The International Award winning [Winner of the FAB Award 2004 & 2005], the `must have` limited edition Kingfisher calendar is magnificently shot by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar.

Introduced in 2003, the Kingfisher Swimsuit Special, the first of its kind calendar in India, promises 12 months of fun, glamour and visual appeal. A showcase for the Indian fashion industry, the calendar is a rare combination of photography and fashion-symbolizing life, fun, glamour and beauty.

All images of this year`s calendar were captured with state of art equipment from Canon and digital support was provided by Apple Computers. The models for the calendar were trained at Sykz gym. L`Oreal Professional helped with their hair colour. Tissot and Ikon Optics provided watches and eyewear to go with the look of each season and month. The calendar is designed by Equus Red Cell and printed by Imperial Artwork Offset Works. The travel schedule was ably handled by Thomas Cook Pvt. Ltd

The launch event has been co-ordinated by Sharmilla Khanna.
