Suspension of Flights to Jamshedpur

Kingfisher Airlines

Mumbai, November 11, 2009 – Following a notification from Tata Steel Limited that they are converting the category of Jamshedpur Airport from 3C to 2C (which means that the runway length will be decreased from the present length and will result in a restriction on the maximum number of guests that can be carried on board our aircraft) and some changes in the approach parameters (which means revised conditions and visibility requirements), it will no longer be viable to continue to operate flights to Jamshedpur Airport given these newly imposed technical restrictions. Consequently, Kingfisher Airlines flights operating between Kolkata and Jamshedpur will stand withdrawn from November 15, 2009.
